ABANDONED LEATHER TANNERY

Today I’ll be showing you guys around this abandoned leather tannery built in 1897. This tannery made leather belts, wallets, and leather for shoes. Later in 1975 the company made leather for major automobile companies. After decades of illegally dumping the waste in the near by river and one death of a female worker whom was crushed by a machine the company decided to relocate elsewhere closing their doors on the site in 2005. Leaving it abandoned since.
