No need to buy a commercial pattern. This DIY Dress Tutorial was designed with the beginning sewist in mind. Grown-on sleeves mean that you don't have to cut and sew separate sleeve pieces. Knit fabric gives stretch, allowing you to simply pull dress over your head. No need for notions like buttons and zippers. I recommend using a ball point needle.
