Welcome to March Mending Month! This is the series where we mend or upcycle clothes and materials in a unique way to ensure they last longer! Textile waste has such a negative impact on the planet and it is crucial that we slow our consumption and extend the life of what we already have. In this video we are mending 5 pieces of clothing: 1. Butterfly t-shirt with a hole in it filled in with a weave. 2. Cardigan that needs two of the button hole scraps replaced with a basic crochet chain stitch. 3. Red hat with a ripped seam being resewn and hole at top being filled in with a pompom. 4. Red tank top with a broken strap being resewn into place. 5. Floral pants with small rips being covered by a back pocket and a tiny patch.
