Streetwear brands from TikTok are finally getting what they deserve. What used to be about design, culture, and craft is completely soulless and is just a cash grab for scammers. It’s ridiculous how many “brands” will throw a low effort graphic on a cheap hoodie and think they’re a high fashion designer. They’re pushing preorders, fake scarcity, and pity marketing to fund their so called business venture. It’s about time that people are calling out the scams and fake entrepreneurs. This is what TikTok has done to streetwear. Starting a brand is the new pyramid scheme. Teenagers with zero experience calling themselves founders and trying to look bigger than they actually are. It’s all recycled, oversaturated slop. After they lose traction, they pivot to being a business coach, trying to squeeze every dollar out of their naive audiences by selling courses. The truth is, these streetwear brands never had a “brand” to begin with and it was all a scam.
